Steel Bridge

WVU ASCE Steel Bridge team is a year long project that aims to create a model bridge that can successfully withstand various loading and deflection tests. It starts as a sketch, then a computer model, then finally a roughly ~20ft steel model.

By the end of the Spring Semester, the team will travel to the Virginia's Regional Conference to compete against other schools to qualify for the national conference.

Being Apart of the Steel Bridge team exposes you to computer modeling, structural analysis methods, and machining and welding techniques. members of all skill levels are welcomed.
